Microsoft 365 - Update July 2020
What's new from Microsoft? We pick out the most important things for you and here are the highlights of the M365 July Update in a quick check. In the course of time virtual collaboration becomes more and more important. Therefore we have the corresponding innovations in Yammer and Teams.
New Yammer functions
New Yammer experiences are available for web and mobile. The user experience has been completely redesigned in terms of conversation and community. With All Community it is now possible to add avatars and custom covers. Likewise, polls and ratings, praise and criticism can be shared. For more visibility in the community, there is also a pin function that allows you to keep posts on top. The user experience has also been improved with new tabs for live events. This makes it easier to find past, current and future events and to host live events. To sign up for the new Yammer, admins should use this resource link: aka.ms/TheNewYammer
Time Clock for Teams
One of the innovative new features is undoubtedly that Time Clock is now available for teams on the web and in the desktop version. First Time employees can now clock in and out (including all geo-fencing functions). It does not matter whether this is done remotely or directly at the workstation.
Microsoft Assistant for business customers
A nice new feature for business customers are the self-explanatory Microsoft 365 wizards. They help with deployment, implementation, migration, learning and security. Also on board is a new remote working and learning path for everyday business use and training of government organizations. This new learning path allows you to use the best resources for your specific Microsoft 365 product.
Collections in Microsoft Edge mobile and more comfort for Visio users
From now on you can create collections in Microsoft Edge mobile (available for iOS and Android). Just drag and drop popular content into your collection. The interesting thing about this is that you can name these collections, organize them and curate them. Visio users watch out: You can now manage multi-page drawings in Visio for Web, insert and duplicate a page, and add page navigation. You must have a subscription to Visio Plan 1 or Visio Plan 2.
