A Swiss passport to Office 365

Microsoft Office 365 is now available for all Swiss and Liechtenstein organizations directly from the Swiss data centers. As an additional central component to Office 365, Microsoft Teams is now also available using local data storage.

Positive feedback clearly discernable

First customers such as Alpiq, Wincasa, WWF Switzerland and the city of Zug are already using Office 365 from the Swiss Microsoft Cloud. The initial response has been positive throughout. Many companies have now shifted their opinions about the cloud. According to Primo Amrein, Cloud Lead at Microsoft Switzerland, over 150 large Swiss companies, SMEs, startups and public organizations have successfully migrated to the data centers since go-live. Amrein asserts that the availability of Office 365 came at exactly the right time. Another important point is that organizations in Liechtenstein can also access Office 365 from the Swiss data centers.

Teams using local data storage

As a proven communication and collaboration solution, Microsoft Teams from MS Cloud Switzerland is now also available using local data storage. In addition, Teams for Education offers an optimized solution for the Swiss education system that fully meets all requirements in this area, including virtual classroom notebooks.

Rising demand for Microsoft Cloud Switzerland

Even after only the first 100 days, a clearly rising demand is making itself visible. More than 150 organizations in Switzerland are already using the Azure services offered, which are themselves being continuously expanded. The Swiss data centers have also received some important certifications, including C5, SOC 2 Type II, SOC 3 and CSA Star.

Well-known customers are using modern Azure cloud solutions

Among the customers already successfully using the Microsoft Cloud in Switzerland are UBS, Swiss Re, Mobiliar, the Zurich Insurance Group, Alpiq, Wincase, WWF and the City of Zug. They are all modernizing their workstations with the help of Azure services from the Swiss data centers, thereby further increasing their productivity.
