Microsoft 365 - Update June 2020
The Microsoft 365 Update June 2020 is about new features for admins in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center and new synchronization options for Microsoft Edge. There are new features for end users in Excel and Teams.
Microsoft Edge
New synchronization capabilities for Microsoft Edge allow users to log in and get faster access to their personal information across devices. Important for admins: A new policy in Microsoft Edge now allows you to control exactly what data you want to synchronize. For example, one workstation may only synchronize passwords, another only the history, or both. You can then create appropriate policies for this.
Microsoft 365 Groups
The team creation was optimized. There is now an improved user interface with improved error messages, information in group lists can now be exported as CSV file with filtered properties. In addition, deleted groups can be restored, a feature that should prove to be extremely helpful in many cases.
Safe Documents
Save Documents checks for known risks and dangers before approving and sharing. This opens documents in the so-called "protected view". The user is then responsible for activating this protected view into a view of the document that is to be edited. In the future, you will be able to protect documents from the outset, so that they are safely available for your organization and your employees to edit.
Microsoft Forms in Teams
With a new linking of Microsoft Forms in teams, you can quickly send a survey, for example on the mood among employees. This gives you a real-time impression of the current situation and enables you to make the right decisions more quickly.
Visio Add in Excel and Web
Create cross-functional flowcharts based on categories plus organizational charts in Excel. These can now also be saved as graphics.
