Opportunities in Change Management
It has long been clear that change management has become a reseller discipline. How can this work in the long term and how can resellers better use their new opportunities? These questions were addressed in the October issue of Swiss IT Reseller. This time, Othmar Frey was one of the speakers. The most important of his statements can be found here:
Othmar Frey, Sales Director Baggenstos & Co. AG, approaches the subject of change management with intuition, realizing that "you really have to find out and feel where the customer's shoe pinches. Immediately afterwards, it's time for tuning: "In change management projects, we first clarify who is affected. We use matrices for this. We look at the organization, processes, technology and employees and create a kind of map in which we evaluate and position the topics according to influence and risk.
Flexibility
The Cloud and Managed Service solutions for SMEs require flexibility above all else, because: "It's no use being fixated on specific solutions and services. You have to ask yourself where we can actually bring in a real benefit. As a result, "prototyping and pilot projects have already been carried out with customers to see whether the proposed solution is going in the right direction.
Transformability
When asked why Baggenstos outsources the majority of change management and works with partners, Othmar Frey points out the changeability of Baggenstos, which perhaps has something to do with the company's almost 100-year history. During this time Baggenstos itself had to change often. Moreover, "we come clearly from the side of implementation and not from change consulting. When a technology - such as teams - is introduced, we cover change management as part of the project during the introduction".

Regarding the central importance of Managed Services: "We started very early on to orient ourselves strongly and consistently towards Managed Services. In this context, we have achieved very high customer loyalty and recurring orders. Our focus in Managed Services is on the continuous development of our customers". We offer a comprehensive range with outsourcing from the workplace, security to central Azure Cloud-based systems and services.
